Well, Dad it was fun to hear about your surfing adventures!!Sorry that you got hurt. We can become pro-surfers together when I get back which I feel will be WAY TOO SOON. Sounds like everyone had a blast this weekend together. CAmi is a stud and so is Sean and so is Kyle. GOsh we are such a lucky family. Probably cause we have the best parents ever or something like that!! But, really though I have a lot of time to think about all of the things the lord has blessed me with. And can I tell you I think he's decided to spoil me. I know I always say it but I don't think anyone could have a more perfect life. The Lord has blessed me with EVERYTHING and I count having goodly parents that have always sacrificed SO MUCH for me and always shown their love for me on top of teaching me about this great gospel on the top. I mean pro-surfer dad and gang banger saver mom. can we get any cooler??> Yes I know humility is something I am working on... don't worry!>> I have alot of things I have been studying lately that I wanted to share. (p.s. I have only once heard about Cami's scripture studies!)> First just how much my testimony and love for Preach my Gospel has grown SO MUCH. Before the mish it was hard for me to get into. But, its hard to hear apostle after apostle talk about his love and passion for the book and think that there is a little more to it. A week ago I had been thinking a lot about communication because although my companion and I communicate REALLY WELL (tender mercy) many of the other sisters dont and and it has really impeded their progression. I felt prompted to help them , so I came up with all these suggestions and ideas that I thought could really help the sisters in my zone. And presented them to my Bishop and I was chatized and I am so thankful for it. He lovingly told me that although my ideas sounded great that the lord has given us all the tools we need to really succeed in the work. And so I must look to PMG for the answers. The answer comp inventory. So if there is something that needs improving its how to hold a successful comp inventory not do all of my ideas no matter how great they may be. It was humbling and really hit home. That I was prompted but didn't turn to the lord to tell me how to help them. Since then PMG has come alive and is becoming just as precious as the scriptures in accomplishing this great work. I know that it can help anyone at any stage of their lives. Look to it for guidance!!> One really cool thing that I read was about likening the scriptures. To liken the scriptures is not only to apply them to your circumstances in theory, but to read them sincerely and with real intent. WHich means that you must have the intention and be willing to take action on the doctrine you read, to incorporate it into your daily life and as necessary repent. THis is active scripture study. If you are not learing something new that can really help you in your lives and then taking action on them. Changing for the better. THen I would encourage you to do so. Start now.> I love studying happiness. I gave a lesson on it on sunday. And I have decided that this is all the lord wants for us. SOunds obvious but think about it for real. How great is it!!! Its glorious everything we have that has come from god, the scriptures, the prophets the commandments prayer, families, EVERYTHING!! is so we can have joy in this life!!! and from my observations that is all anyone wants. TO be happy. THey all have different methods of trying to attain that happiness but I can testify that they will all fall short in the end because the only true happiness comes through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the knowledge of his and GOds Love for us!! AND HE DOES LOVE US!!! I am so lucky to be here!!! THank you again for all the amazng support I get.> FUnny story... so remember how I am frriends with President CLegg, well he has taken to calling me the persian princess and he did so in front of my district and they haven't stopped making fun of me. Well for movie night on sunday he was getting things started and I was standing lost and confused in the ailse so he said in front of 4/5ths of the MTC come up here my persian princess! SO I went up to the pulpit bright red, and he asked me to pray, well now I am famous and everyone in the MTC comes up to me and asks if I am the persian princess, or sisters will come up to me and tell me that their elders will boast that they saw the persian princess. Love is what it's all about!

Hello EVERYONE!!!> Can I just say it is such a beautiful day and my spirits are high. I am completely in awe of the love that God has for us and that it can be seen everywhere! He really is in all the little details of this world and the life!!! I love this gospel and I love this life that I have to live and being a missionary is the absolute GREATEST ever!! Thank you to everyone that helped me and continues to help me while I am here. Even if its something as simple as a prayer I can feel it!! THank you and I love you!!> Mom Im sorry I haven't sent you any written letters, I'll get on that after this, but I am so proud of you!!! You go help those kids!!! So apart of my calling is to welcome the new districts in. THis week we just got one new advanced district. All latins. One hermana and 8 elders. ANd THEY ARE HILARIOUS as most latins are. One elder super funny, stood up to introduce himself and brother hollister had just told all the elders proper manners in bottoning the top button of your suit coat when you stand, no hands in the pockets. And so he stands up already having mouthed to his companions about his coat being too small. So they are already chulckling and then he stands up and says that he can't actually button his coat and starts laughing, because he just got back from a road trip and had been eating alot of fast food, but that it fit two weeks ago when he bought it.But that he'll lose it all in the next few days. In the MTC!!! Yeah right! It was okay cause he is not even close to fat, so it was just funny. Maybe you think I am a mean person but the whole room errupted in laughter. We were dying!!!!! And of course I nor his companions couldn't stop for the longest time. As all this being right after the branch president said that the zone leaders and I being the coordinating sister are those to look to as the best examples. Anytime I'm around the district we are constantly laughing. Its this same elder who said he wants to be the Puertorican Doctor Phill and his show will be called La Calle. Yes Life is Beautiful!!> I also went to enhancement class, which was started by an Apostle who said that they wanted their sister missionaries to look good, sharp, beuatiful... NOT FRUMPY! Yes mom you would be happy to know that they actually like it and encourage sisters to look nice on their missions. SO pretty much what it is is a makeover. These two fabulous women who have been doing this for 5 years, best friends, just do your makeup and then give your the $200 worth of Nu SKin Makeup. I told them how my mom forbade me to look frumpy or gross on my mission and she absolutely loved it!! Like she had never heard anyones mom sound like that before.. . Yeah mom, you are one of a kind. ANd Cami they wanted me say hey! DOn't know if you remember them.> This life is so beautiful. I hope you all feel it. Here are a few quotes I likes. WEll... Hola A Todos,> I just wanted to thank those who dutifully write me... Rachel is probably the best, sean, mom, dad, cami and kyle. I really am so grateful for the letters. I know I am loved but the letters just help to remind me. Once again not a single member of my family members has told me about their scriptures studies. This is mandatory!!> WEll as for me and everything, Everything is wonderful! There is not a single place I would rather be at this moment. Yes, all of you should be jealous and Sean you need to just have patience. You'll get your turn! Every day is a blessing and more time that I have to prepare for the field. I pray for the investigators being prepared, everyday! There is not a better or happier way to live than living righteously!> Well.. my adventures this week have been interesting because as I said I was called as coordinating sister last week and so I now have a lot of responsiblity. We got 9 new sisters that I help to welcome and to teach them about our purpose here and how to get around and how we can be successful. Its fun. We now have more sisters that anyone has ever heard of in one Zone. 24 sisters and we get two more this week.> Its a special experience having stewardship over such an amazing group of sisters. An experience that is a blessing. A learning experience was that I have been praying for inspiration for who needs help in my zone and a way that I can help them... and I felt on thursday night that we should fast for Hna. Neubert... background, a few weeks ago her face started to feel numb, she went to the doctor and turns out that she's got bellspalsy (which is that half of her face is paralyzed for 3+ weeks) As good of an attitude as she has, like she laughs about it all the time because smiling wiggling her noise everything only happens on one side. .. but there are hard things happen too like she has to manually blink her eye and has to tape her eye shut at night, etc... so I felt very strongly in my nightly prayers that we should fast for her as a zone. The very next morning was a confirmation of my prayers because for the first time she was very frustrated and in a bad mood, she is someone is never in a bad mood, I was given the opportunity to, in private, (which doens't come easily) tell her what an example of patience and long suffering and cheerfulness she was for me because the time came and passed when her face should have been back to normal. So many of the other sisters asked her permission to fast for her as a zone. I was nervous because of her mood that it may not have come across in the right way but when you follow the spirit everything will be said in the right and in the right manner to help and uplift. I talked to the zone leaders, who I spend a lot of time with now, and we then asked the whole zone to fast. Everyone fasted and keep her in their prayers. And later she told me how grateful and how loved she felt and that she doesn't like to draw attentiont to herslf but that it was much needed. SHe is amazing and I am SO grateful for the opportunity I have to be able to be an instument in the Lord hand's in lifting and loving his children. WHo knows maybe she was at her wits end of the trial or not. But I do know that heavenly father pays close attention to everyone of his children's lives and will bless their lives through other people. Be that person and awknowledge when that person comes into your life that its not by chance but that it is through the workings of god.> I leave the 24th of March which means after this I only have 2 more email in the MTC. I am really nervous that this whole mission experience is going to pass bby me way to fast. I love you all and I know that heavenly father is watching out for each one of you!! Hola Mi Familia y Amigos!!> HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!!! I know it was yesterday but I was thinking about you!!! ANd I'll be sending you a birthday letter this week too okay!! How is everyone?? Thank you mom and dad for the email. Sean and Kyle I got your dear elders last Tuesday night! They were wonderful! But just a word to the wise, if you can make sure to send them monday's then I'll actually be able to respond in a more timely manner cause p-day ends at 6 and I can only write letters on p-days!! Thanks!! Well, mom way rad about the whole save the gang banger thing!! I think that if your not joining a coalition you should start one!! Those kids are so lost and the best thing for them would be the gospel but if they don't take that then help them in any way you can to see that their lives don't have to be that way because of the circumstances they live in or the families they were born into. Change the world mom!! You can do it!! And I am sorry that it rained during the ASB retreat but from my reports it sounds fun. I have not however heard back from whether or not you've been getting my emails since the beginning or whether your reading your scriptures. Yes Cami, Mom, Dad, Kyle and Sean I want to know that you are studying your scriptures and more than that I would love to know what your studying!> Here they tell us that the true signs of conversion is if our investigators are 1. reading their scriptures 2. praying with sincere hearts and real intent 3. GOing to church. I think this applies just as much to members as it does investigators. Are you truly converted? Because I know that when you do these things you have greater peace and happiness even during the hard times. ANd really thats all we are searching for! Everyone!! SO JUST DO IT!!> Funny experiences.. well seriously I still don't think I have ever laughed so much in my life as I do here and with my companion. WHo is still amazing and so wonderful!! We were teaching a lesson, (we only teach in spanish) and her spanish is good as far as taking classes and stuff goes. and so we were teaching elders in our district and she was trying to tell them that their father in heaven loved and she was doing it with her heart and sould, and this what she said.." Usted es mi hijo and usted es mi hijo (taking to the elders) y ella es mi hija ... (translation... you are my son and you are my son and she is my daughter. I tried not to laugh but I couldn't hold it in... We all died of laughter and she didn't even realize what she had said so she thought we were laughing at her... then joined in!! Seriously i still die everytime I think about it! (so I may have already told this story, but its okay)> Also, we are probably best friends with President Clegg who is the first counselor in the MTC presidency! He is so wonderful and served in my mission and comes and eats lunch with us and jokes around with us and calls me the persian princess. He's wonderful!> Gym... yes mom I haven't missed a single 6:00 class since I have been here. 6 days a week. So being that I have these intense workout I decided to get in on the sports during gym time. And guess what I found... I have a talent for 4 square. yes 4 square is that game that maybe 2nd graders play... and yes I was embarrassed the first time i stood in line to play, ofcourse laughing the whole time and yes the most intense people I have ever met are drawn to 4 square. and YES I dominate!!!! Haha but seriously I am like to queen of 4 square... who knew. I also try my hand at volleyball ... not so much a queen.> So I was going into sacrament meeting on sunday and yes we were a little late. ANd late means that we were only 5 minutes early and the second counsilor who was so wonderful ( was a pro- drummer in LA for most his life) came up and asked if he could talked to me and my comp. I seriuosly thought we were in trouble for being late and then he asked me if I would be the coordinating sister and I said yes but that I would have no idea what to do or that I was qualified, he said nice things and then told me that I had 4 meeting to that day and I would be trained. So that coordinating sister is kinda like the Zone leader of the sisters. There is only one though. And we have more sisters that any other zone at the moment. I now have like 6 meetings a week which includes welcoming the new districts and we have 2 districts coming in 19 people 8 of which are sisters. I am a little nervous but I have faith that the lord has faith in me and that I can do this. So already instituted a few things to unify the sisters, of whom are all amazing. But your prayers would be MUCH appreciated!!> So I just want you all to know that I have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ as the SAviour and Redeemer of the world. I know that he suffered for me. THousand of painful drops o f blood so that Ican have the joy and peace that I feel in this life and so that through him I may be able to return to live with my father in heaven again.
